x1900xt overdrive help please

Hi i have put this rig together
Conroe 6600
Asus p5b
Connect 3d x1900xt 512mb
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 LA PC2-5400 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit
Ennermax 500w liberty

When i run the overdrive it gets this error message half way through
vpu recover has reset your graphics accelerator as it was no longer responsing to graphics diriver
Whaen i close the message it keeps running and at the end the over drive reading are
Graphics Processor Status
Requested 662mhz ,current vpu clock 500mhz
Graphics Memory status
Requested 792mhz ,current memory clock 594mhz
Can anyone help?
My pc Mark 06 score was 5790 i thought that seemed low.

When i first built it i had a celeron 2.5ghz and dual corsair 6400 cas5 which were i later found out were faulty and i ran the overdrive utility it ran all the way through but the system hung and i had to reset the cmos.
When i put in the conroe and new ram i completley reformated xp but could i have damaged the card running the overdrive with a celeron and dodgy ram?

Any Help would be great because im pretty clueless to be honest.

Try turning vpu recovery off and lower your overclock in overdrive to xtx speeds .
celeron and dodgy ram would'nt of harmed your graphics card

try installing atitool. that works better then what you are using. and if i were you i would remove ccc and just keep the driver

I would agree & run the card at lower clocks, maybe just run your card at XTX speeds.
