I have decided upon getting a x1900xt and am questing whether it worth paying extra to get the 512mb version over the 256mb version? Also i would like to know which make most people recommend out of HIS, Sapphire and Connect3d?
If money is an issue would anyone still recommened getting the 512mb version?

Finally, my PC spec will be this:

Intel e6600
- with arctic cooling freezer 7
2gb Geil ddr 800MHz
ASUS P5B Deluxe Motherboard
1x 320GB Seagate barracuda
1x NEC DVD dual-layer writer

And i have the 400W Antec PSU with Blue LED fAN, will this be enough to power all this? I do plan to upgrade my PSU shortly, but would like to wait a month before having to do this and need to know whether it will power this all?

thanks everyone :)

depends on what resolution you mainly play at. but for me i found that the added cost for the 512mb card did not justify the performance increase.

I think it comes down to res at the end of the day, I have the Connect3D version but it can be on the loud side, but I game with headphones on so it's not that much of a distraction tbh!!

A friend got the HIS ATI Radeon X1900 ICEQ3 SILENT Heatpipe and it's silent..

I play at 1680 x 1050 I have the 512 version!!!

Wicked card!!!!

i think based on that i wil get the more expensive of the HIS 256Mb cards. As i want a silent case.

Having reviewed my PSU it is not antec but Akasa:

Will my Akasa Ultra Quiet 400W Paxpower Active PFC ATX2.0 PSU - Black Nickel with Blue LED Fan cope or is it time for an upgrade now?
