x1900xt temps??

Alright Guys,

I have just installed watercooling on my x1900xt and I'm hitting temps of 75c thats idle, is this far too hot? have I not seated the new water block right? Every time I go to play a game (any game) it crashes out on me, I can hear music so the game is still playing so I know its the graphics card as the fault LED comes on, but I still think it has to be the GPU temps, what do you all think??

With those kind of temperatures i dont think you have seated it properly. Most with the stock coolers are hitting 85C load? Yours is more than like going way more than that by the solunds of it :eek:
 
Ok then, I'm going to tighten it more... thought it was a little lose but I didnt want to over do it

Don't over tighten it though ;) Definatly sounds like it needs reseated.My XT is idle at 33C just now. What block are you using ?

Hi guys,

Ok what do you think... I'm idling at 40ish now... is that ok? the problem is that when I'm playing games at high res the ATI tool keeps flashing up with the GPU is running too hot... do I have to tighten it some more??

Stelly, were you running air cooling on the x1900xt berfore you put it in? what temps were you getting with it as its seems these cards run very hot.
