Hi Guys,

I've just got my new connect3D x1900xt-x and i'm trying to set up two independant monitors. Well, one to display the normal windows gumph and the other to display other bits such as my music and so on.

The monitors are as follow;
1) Dell 2405FPW
2) Samsung 930BF

How do I set this up? Having enver tried this before its all a bit of a mystery to me.

Thanks for your help guys.

It should be pretty much plug + play.
When I did this before (albeit this different specs and smaller monitors - not that it matters) I jsut connected both screens up and turned my comp on.
All the bios screens showed on both monitors, once windows was in it had reverted back to one screen. But a quick visit to the display settings (ie right click desktop) and clicked "extend my desktop onto this monitor" and it all worked fine.

You can fine tune it all and add extra features with UltraMon, however you have to pay for this, think it was around a tenner, but it gives some nice options as far as general windows use goes, didn't really try any more than that.

Ah, just found a slight problem with I tried to boot up F.E.A.R. That being the machine crashed.

Tom, you mentioned a prog called "Ultramon". Will this enable me to run a game and then go to the other monitor to change the music? etc etc?

Thanks all.

yea, its what i do. of course you have minimise the game first. otherwise the mouse would just hop to the other screen when you turn in game etc.

Basically ultramon makes it easier to switch the other screen on and off and allows diff wallpapers on each one. taskbars etc.
