x1900xtx games

can anyone give me some examples of some good 1st person games for my x1900xtx, some good i candy
last games i bought were BF2, B&W2
have not ever played HL2 or COD2
advice muchly appeciated

I'd say fear at the moment, if you got the system to crank up the visuals, it looks fantastic!

might be worth trying the HL2 Lost coast demo, i have that maxed on my x1800XT and that looks very impressive especially the water effects, other than that i would say BF2 but you've already said that

Half Life 2 and FEAR are essential as is COD 2. I'd also get Far Cry if you haven't played it already as it is a beautiful game and is also available for a tenner. :cool:

DIABLO 2- make sure u got a nice cpu its a real system hog

forget all of those games above.
and run condemned, my desk tilted as my jaw hit it when i first played it with all the bits and bobs whacked up. and to sooth your nerves its from the people behind FEAR, but it runs a lot better and is amazing. scary though

Oblivion, x1800 XT here and ive got it maxed with AA+HDR on, and it is running sweet as, and is truly stunning, the graphics are incredible. :cool:

and far cry with HDR + AA, it may be old(ish) but still looks awesome :cool:

You've not played Oblivion until you've played it in Ultra Ultra Ultra High Chuck Patch Detail goodness.

There's simply not a game out that compares in visuals.

a patch that means you can run oblivion with HDR and AA both on. From what i read, it only works with Catalyst 6.3s though.

it runs a hell of a lot better though than fear ever did for me, and ive now got less ram lol. its super smooth

Give the latest Tombraider a look, you can get it cheap as chips second hand now. Only just started playing it, looks quite good, not sure about the actual game yet but seems more like the original than the sequels ever did

tomb raider is good, but youll barely get the card warm and you would have finished it
