Just tried to run 3dMark and got lots of corruption :(

Oh dear i thought so i reseated the card and power connections and tried different drivers and still get the same outcome

I also get corruption when playing videos, though when i was uninstalling drivers, in safe mode i tried a video and it was fine. If card is screwed would videos not have been messed up in safe mode aswell?

Videos will be fine in safe mode as the cards not being used there as it hasn't installed in safe mode (no drivers loaded in etc...), safe mode runs in software mode, looks like the memory on the card has gone to me. :(

have you tried the manufacturers drivers?i ask as i have this problem(sometimes when using ati drivers) on a 9800xt from ASUS, use asus drivers and the chequering goes away
might be worth a shot :)

its only just happend now though, after 8 months, surely if it was cos of not using manufacturers drivers id have run into this problem by now.

Thanksfully the card is still under warrantly so i should get a replacement :)

might be worth a shot is all :)
i know i tried various ati drivers some worked some didnt, some worked for a while.when i use asus drivers worked all the time....weird ehh :)

Memory Controller.

I get it when I push the mem too far, no amount of voltage changes the wall at 845mhz.

Probably b0rked.

I agree. Had the same problem with my overclocked x1900xt. I lowered the memory speed to solve to problem.

though this card dont clock aswell as my old one, will only do 736mhz on the core where as i had 756 with the previous card. And ive lost about 300-400 3dmark points even though the ram is running much faster.
Not the end of the world though, and atleast it aint broke :)
