x1900xtx underclocked?

hi,

just built a new system, put latest ati drivers on an went into 'ati overdrive' my current gpu speed is being reported as 500mhz and it is showing 'requested' 648mhz. Ram is current: 594mhz . requested: 774mhz.
temp is 47c.

has this beast underclocked itself for some reason? or hav i just got a bad one? anyone come across ths before? im sure ive seen a post like this recently but i couldnt find it.

The current clocks are the ones when you are in 2d mode and they are upped to the requested ones when using a 3D app so no worries¬!

when you play a game they will be at your overclocked settings, 3d mode, in windows mode its in 2d mode.

ahh.. that seems to ring a bell.. think the thread i refered to had someone saying somethin along those lines.. thanks fellas

edit: btw, is the fan supposed to make a whistle type sound when its running the auto clock config util?

agreed, i asked it to when i got my x1900xt, lol , crazy ati !!
