X1900XTX when should the fan speed up

Just ran 3dm03 and 05 and the fan didn't speed up once, makes me wondering weather everythings working fine.

Just wondering how it was for you guys?
 
Cheers guys, just a little confused due to the startup sound, assumed that be be the sound in games/3dm.

Just out of curiousity what scores are you guys getting @ stock in 03/05/06?
