Most people whacked one of these babies on them, they do much better job of cooling the card than the stock cooler & they're a lot less noisy too. The only real downside is that the hot air isn't vented out of your case.

Not used one personally but the Thermalright HR-03 was very popular and could cool them passively. It's out of stock here though.

I used (still do) the HR-03 on my x1900xtx with 1 x 120mm fan, worked a treat.

Can heartily recommend the Accelero S1 though, it's better than the HR-03 and cheaper too.

Gotta be between the S1 and the HR03.

HR03 allows for more positional choice and maybe better if you've got other cards in the other expansion slots.

Got the S1 on my XT and I think it's amazing idle temps are 32-36 and I've never seen it go over 60 load. Runs silently and so is beautiful

Beware though the S1 plus a standard fan does cause it to take up 3 slots.

I've got the S1 on my 3870XT with two Yate Loon 120mm and it idles at 25, rising to 35 with rthdribl running.
