X1950 installed.....quite impressed :D

you've got the extra 12 pixel pipelines too, which should make quite a difference of how many pixels the old girl can shift too :)

Could disable a few if it makes you feel a little better ? :D (it's got other additional bits as well for floating point etc).

You gotta get your speeds higher :D Maybe slacken off those mem timings and clock the mem higher

Over 10,000 in '05 for under £200, it doesn't get much better than that. More of a challenge to keep everything to a budget but still keep performance towards the high-end.
Good stuff! :D

The best score i have managed with my 256MB 1950 pro in 3DMark 05 is 10675.

Thats with the rig in my sig. Am pretty happy with that considering it cost me 120 quid.

Wow.. that IS good.

My new kit cost me £110 for motherboard and chip, £105 for gfx card, £72 for new psu to power gfx card so that's £287. I haven't deducted anything yet from selling my old components.. but a rough estimate would be £65-75 for them on the low end, maybe as high as £90 if I am flukey git.

So realistically at worst upgrading cost me £222 and at best £197. I am pretty sure I could make a profit on the parts I bought as people are daft on 'the bay' and buy them again.. but I really can't be bothered for a few quid.

I would sell my airsoft guns but ebay doesn't allow that.. maybe I'll sell the flak jacket lol.

Anyone else get atifacts when putting the PCI-E bus upto 100Mhz ?

I set it all up for overclocking, and it was stable playing HL2, but in BF2 I was getting little black squares flickering across the screen.

I took the overclocks off and they were still there, so I set the bios back to optimized defaults and they went away.

PCI-E bus is set to auto, but I don't know what it set's itself at on auto ?

On my XT unless I ran the fan at 100% I get major triangles and artifacts rapidly gets worse.

I am about to try the 101mhz thing, but i doubt it will help.
