Hey guys,

Installed a new PSU and this card today. The Psu is the Antec Truepower Trio.

Haveing problems with the card as far as I can see. POSTs fine, but the monitor isnt coming on.

Tried both DVI ports, but to no avail.

It has both molexes in it, on 2 rails (Although the rails are also running HDD and DVD drives). Tried it on the same rail first of all.

The fan is happily spinning, but noones home.

I am on the laptop lying on the floor :(

When I purchased a Sapphire card and had issues I went here. I occassionaly go there still, and it's had it's fair share of X1950 Pro AGP problems there latey.

Check it out, have a good search on in the forum and you'll find lots with similar problems. A major E-tailer even pulled Sapphire X1950 Pro's at one point, or so that site suggests in one thread.

i thought that with the cards with 2 molex's one was and in and one was an out... i read that somewhere on here previously.

Hey man,

Looking on the sapphire support forum seems to suggest that because the trio has 3 x 12v rails that its not recommended.

Each rail runs at 18a.

And sapphire recommend 30a combined.

So I don't understand why there should be a problem :/

I got advised on that site that my 'issues' were power related. Bought a Thermaltake power express and still issues, so don't believe everything on that forum.
Lot's of advice is given there to throw money at an issue (regarding PSU's). More often than not the people posting issues and purchasing the extra PSU's still continue to have the same issues, have a good read you'll see what I mean.
