x1950 pro AGP problem

Hi

Got this yesterday and decided to give my pc a format and install the drivers but whatever i do i cant get more than 4 colours, anyone any idea what im doing wrong. Ive installed the omega drivers, the ones that come with the card and the latest ati drivers and still no joy.

litteraly 4 colours ??? that sound sbad i would be leaning towards a faulty card

So the card works ok in VGA mode with Windows before you load the drivers and after you load the drivers it ceases to work? Might your color depth accidentally be set to 8-bit or something like that (though that's not color depth setting that will yield 4 colors when working properly).

Can you post a photo of the problem?

by latest drivers do you mean 6.11? not sure if they support 1950 cards officially.

DOH!!

What a prat i feel now, it turned out the dvi cable was hanging out at the back of the monitor, i wouldn't have noticed but i turned the monitor round to show the wife and the picture came on perfect.
