Friend of mine is having problems with his new X1950 Pro AGP graphics card. He's waiting on his forum access being accepted so im posting on his behalf.
I'm having some problems with my new "HIS ATI Radeon X1950 Pro ICEQ3 Turbo 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (AGP) - Retail (H1950PRQT512DDA-R)"

It seems to work ok in windows, but when running a game eg Battlefield 2 or running 3D Mark 06 (Basic) after some time which can be as little as 20-30 seconds or as much as a few minutes I get graphical corruption on screen which worries me that some thing is definitely wrong. Please see the pictures linked below. Sorry they are of a poor quality as they were taken with my phone.

Here is a brief description of my hardware:
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ S939 (San Diego) with stock HS&F
Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra 939
3 GB PC3200 DDR RAM (2x1GB+2x512MB)
2 Seagate Raptor 36GB SATA HDD (Striped using the onboard SiL RAID controller)
Hiper Power Type-R 580W PSU
Pioneer DVR-110 DVDRW
Windows XP Pro SP2 (32 bit)
I also have additional HDDs which I have disconnected for testing purposes.
I hope I have given enough detail, but I'm bound to have forgotten something.
Testing:
I have tried to minimise the Load on the PSU as much as I can by removing unnecessary hardware (data HDDs, DVDRW & USB devices)
Connected the PCIe power connector on the card to both the dedicated PCIe power of the PSU and using the Molex to PCIe adapter on two separate lines out of the PSU.
Run Driver Cleaner Pro and installed and tested in turn manufacturer supplied Catalyst 6.12 and 7.1 from the ATI site.
Checked GPU temperatures: Idle 36C and under load approx 48-50C
When the graphical corruption occurs, if you task swap back to the windows desktop, the graphical corruption remains but changes to small dots. If windows are then moved around the desktop, the image smears and the only way to restore the desktop is reboot the PC.
All these steps seem to make little difference.
Any constructive help would be grately appreciated.
Note:- The system with the problem is detailed above, the system in the sig is mine ( just to avoid confusion )
