Hi,

I think this maybe a BF2 issue but I had a HIS 1950pro that I got 3 weeks ago, in BF2 in 1600x1200 all in high I was averging between 80-100FPS, I got a second today and installed crossfire (new install of ATI and Omega drivers) but its running at <50FPS... but in 06 its gone from <6000 to >8000... any ideas? maybe it needs a re-install of BF2?

Indeed.

For Crossfire, forget Omega drivers and the old style control panel. You need ATI's official driver and the CCC to do it properly.

Try that, and if your still having problems, come back here.

I've gt 2 x1900GT's in Xfire and the performance increase isn't that great, perhaps 25-30%, topping out at 50% in ATI favoured games (hL2 springs to mind).

3DMark seems to love Xfire for some reason, especially 06.

I managed to loose my RAID array today after a BIOS update so I ended up reinstalling everything, I didnt bother with the CD and just installed the ones from the web (which were installed before) and it now seems playable in BF2 (65-90FPS) but the crossfire option doesnt really seem to improve it, I should be getting a new 23" CRT in the next few days and that does more than 1600x1200 so that might be where Crossfire comes into its own. There does seem to be an issue though with BF2 and Crossfire with AA over 4x, but 06 gets over 8000 :D
