Hi, just got my new agp x1950 pro and everything was running fine... up until I took my rig to a mates for a LANparty...

When I loaded up Prey and Rainbow Six vegas, I got immense artifacts. After reboot I could not post.

Tried all components ona different mobo and they seem to work. However, my mobo will post and indeed boot if used with a different gfx card. Tried every molex on the psu, cleared CMOS, reset to defaults in the bios... still no luck.

Could it be something to do with agp voltages or some other bios setting? Or just incompatible? Everything was ok for around 12hrs of gameplay yesterday overall.

My mobo is DFI Lanparty UT 250gb.

Hmm...

Loose screw in the case shorting something?....

Put the system together outside the case, see if problems still occur.

hey guys. well, ive got a 460w psu with 30a on the 12v rail. Im currently running the same card, psu and ram on another mobo and chip and everything is working fine...

also, I get really weird artifacts during post and on the windows boot select (dual boot screen) :

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$WINDOWS XP$$$$$$$$$$$$$
WINDOWS VISTA$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

very weird stuff. so it's got to be the mobo, maybe flash the bios?

Well, just had a BSOD in the new case, so I think it could be the PSU after all. The dvd-writer only works some of the time, and when I try to plug in another HDD it just BSODs. I will try with his psu in a bit and report back.

so looks like I'm going to be ordering a new psu some time soon - which would you guys rate for around £70? Going to be getting a new rig in the summer so will have to be fairly capable.

Hey trigger,
I was looking at that one, but having never used a corsair psu was wondering about what experince people may have had with them.
Can see lots of reviews about the 620w version, but only one for the 520w. It scored 9/10 though and looks pretty good, will have to last a week back with my 6800 though now!
