X1950 PRO core problem

im currently having lots of slow activity from my card,in games for some strange reason, its brand new,

i am just wondering wether i can plug the power directly into the card without it frying it...i cant seem to find anything about this, even in the instructions.

graphics are
ATI RADEON™ X1950 PRO core
256MB GDDR3

and my power is
550W PSU Gold 12cm SATA PFC

there is a cable which will fit from the power to the card... but i have my doubts about frying it...because as i said i cannot find anything about directly linking them

all help will be mega apreciated

thanks

okay jimmy you might want to change the name of the PSU!

Its does sound like its QTec however as that model DOES NOT carry the the PCI-E cord as my bro had exactly the same psu as that!
Overall they ahev a bad rep thats the thing, you can however search the net and find a convertor for the 6pin PCI-E connector to a 4pin PSU cord but I would probably say you could pick up a nice branded PSU @ 400w+ and you would be okay more than likely

i didnt quite understand...the psu which i just told you about has a 6pin....and the graphics i just told you is a 6 pin...it fits perfectly... but i was just wondering if there any chance of frying it .... i think i mean if my wattage is 550 would it fry the card....if not is there any other doubts i should be having or any reason i shouldnt attach them

thanks

Not all all, if the PSU has the 6x Pin PCI-E connector then use it, but it may not be up to the job as it does sound like an el-cheapo PSU, so the 550w will be way over exagerated, so the slow activity could be atributed to that, your best off getting a decent branded PSU in all honesty. :)
