Had a 512mb Sapphire Radeon x1950 Pro (PCI-E) a while now but recently downloaded GPU-Z to see exactly how the card was running. Anyway, it appears the memory is really off what it should be and I have absolutely no idea why this has happened.

See screenshot below for the output from GPU-Z and my sig for my setup:

Would be grateful to anyone who can shed some light on this.

Cheers

if you think you are noticing a slow down it could be due to the card running at pcie x4 rather than x16. though as i understand it there isnt much in it in terms of performance. card memory speeds are correct as shown in gpuz. as it doesnt read the ram "properly"

ie the ram is running effectively 1380mhz. if thats correct

yeah i was aware of this when i got the board, but i couldn't pass up the opportunity for c2d whilst keeping my old DDR ram and AGP card. at first i thought it may be something to do with the x4 thing, but the numbers didn't add up (ie 690 X 4) so i was a bit confused.

just a bit of noobidity at its finest from me!
