Hey guys,

Have always had nvidia cards so sorry if this question comes across as really daft. I received my new sapphire 512 meg card on thursday(nice job ocuk) and after the initial scare of it not working until i reseated it i now have it up and running.

So i formatted my computer as it was due for a good clean anyway and then rather than use my cd that came with the card i downloaded the latest ati display driver and installed this.

I can find no options in the advanced display settings nvidia style to disable vsync etc? How is it done on the ATI cards?

So i tried uninstalling that driver to get the new full package with catalyst control etc which i originally avoided after reading lots of negatives about its speed on this very forum. But now the ati links were down. So installed the package from my sapphire cd but still cannot find options to disable vsync etc.

Also as far as performance, i went onto world of warcraft and set to 1280 x 1024 res and pushed all of the gfx sliders to the right for max gfx? but it looks exactly the same as normal and the framerate drops to around 25ish around small towns etc? expected far better performance as it seemed just as good on my 6800gt :|

Maybe i got my hopes too high eh.

Drivers that came with the card will be poop, as they will just be a bodged Beta set to get you up and running, best of updating to the 6.12's, and the V-Sync is called Wait For Vertical Refresh, its in where you do all your AA/AF settings. :)
