X1950pro AGP Owners - Anyone running fine without issue?

It quite obvious from reading through the forums that a large number of users of x1950 pro AGP card have had issues. Now this could be related to the fact that they have a large sales volume, therefore we are seeing higher number of issues.

I personally have been through 2 HIS x1950 Pro AGP cards, both of which gave me blank screens under load. I have RMA-ed them both.

I have tried different drivers, clean install of windows, underclocking, different power supplies, and basically every suggestion on these forums.

What I am very keen to know however is whether there are any users who have purchased a x1950Pro AGP and have had no issues??

For 'No Issues' i mean playing different 3d games, for a prolonged period of time in a typical warm house (its been cold recently .. and im sure having the central heating on should be a valid environment), with no blank screens or artifacts or strange colours.

I hope there are a large volume of people out there who have had no issues so I have confidence in buying a 3rd card!!

Sapphire X1950Pro 512MB AGP here, had it a couple of weeks now and haven't had a single problem (touch wood).

Been playing Farcry & UT2003 mostly, all settings to max, no recent games though. I'm using the drivers that came with the card, 6.9s I think, overclocks well too, fantastic card for the money!

Most people will only post if they have problems, not many post to say things are running fine, I imagine it's just a small %age of people having problems, although the problems I read about on here regarding the HIS cards made me go with the Sapphire version.

Tesh what psu(s) did u use?
if u have been through 2 of them with the same problems chances r it isnt the card

im using a 420w and it runs fine on it.

this might be a stupid question but do u have the card plugged in2 the psu with a 6 pin connector?

Large number of HIS owners, ive only seen problems with the HIS AGP cards, from faulty power connectors on the cards, to black screening etc... never read any about other brands being faulty.

First one had the Black Screen of death, 2nd one is great. Whilst a large number of users may have had problems with the HIS card will never know how many people have had no problems because they wouldn't have even registered here! (I.E. Me)

Hi all,i had an HIS x1950 Pro AGP that has died, sent it back on rma they recieved it wednesday morn but have not herd back from then yet.I used it for about 10 hours in total with no probs then the screen just went black, would not display a picture or display post screen or bios, but the fan spinns up and that, tried it in a mates with same results.I put me x800xt back in while am wating for the verdict from ocuk.Any one no how long it takes for them to test it as they have had it for nearly 4 days now ? Laterz chello..

Just gta sa fog issues and some vsync issues. Tho i found vsync in games is fixed kinda but not for playing media in VLC player etc.

Hmm althought not 100% gone, turning mipmap option to off helped a lot tho on occasion it still flickered with the smog to make stuff in distance hazy was still going on and off as in clear and foggy switching.

and had to RMA it. Serves me right...

I have the Sapphire 512mb card and the only issue I have had was it failed to start. This was however corrected be rearranging the power connections within the case.

Seems 600W and an overclocked CPU were struggling abit  specs below

Hows that possible

I have a similar setup but running a Tagen 480w PSU. Have lots of fans, 4x hard disks, 2x cd rom drives, the same board, the same gfx and at one time the same CPU only running at 3.6gig and I had no troubles at all

You sure your PSU is running as it should as 600w is a lot of power! Does the Vapourchill draw from the PSU?

Find out what cables belong to which rail and then use ** judgement on what to put on each rail. I know the rails for my corsair 620w psu as corsiar provided a picture showing which connectors belong to which of the 3 rails. So i have put pci-e on 1 rail, molexs on the other rail and the mb and stuff uses the 3rd rail.
