X1950pro PCI-E Overclocking.

when = now

resulys are mixed but some people have gfot some good overclocks ou of them some strugle.

have a small overclock on my sapphire only 5mhz on the core but 100 more on the ram

hm, what are you using to clock?

Ati Tools doesnt support it yet and The CCC seems to make my screen flicker soon as I click apply on the new clock speed. No matter what I set it to...

Ati tools crashes when I try to change my voltages and white/black screens when I up the clock slowly without doing the voltages.

Im at a loss lol!

Sorry to bump my self.

Just wondering. Cause the sticky mentions that the 1950pro still not supported but poster above mentioned others getting good clocks out of the card.

Thanks

Yep x1950pros do clock, lad on here got one when they first came out, and clocked it great, i can't remember his name now though, was that lad that used to start loads of threads, sadly i think he left though.

mine does exactly the same and i have tried different versions of the control center and ati tool. this is with a sapphire x1950pro

Using CCC I've got mine (Sapphire) upto-

Core - 621Mhz

Memory- 789Mhz (1578Mhz).

The core's don't seem to want to push too far, but the memory will go a wee bit.

yep i use ccc to clcok mine and i am using the drivers that came with the card. its working to good for me to change to new drivers wich randomly seem to cause problems on some peoples machines and not others soo am sticking with what i got :) they are modified6.9s

i used the auto overclock first but that pushed the memory way to high and ghame me artifacts in 3dmarko6. soo backed it off a bit and all is well

Ati tools I can clock mine to 650/1600 which is a fair old o/clock from the standard 580/1400 (although the HIS is 620/1500 out the box)

just reinstalled 6.12 and tried again with ati tools and its better now. No idea why it wouldnt do it 1st time around :(

Not me?? :)
Mine's agp though, 688/850. Using ATT, overclock method set to driver level - the memory won't budge otherwise
