Been on my mind for a while now, would the card work fine with my PSU? It's got 30a on the 12v rail, but it is nearly two years old.

The problem is, if it isn't enough I wont be able to afford the x1950Pro AND a new PSU. So I'll be getting a 7600gt (and overclocking it ofcourse :D).

Thanks in advance.

Cant see any problems providing the PSU (X-Pro?) is not an el-cheapo one and its fairly dust free? Some people never blow out dust from PC, some PSU's ive seen were so full of dust it restricted airflow & heatbuild up was insane! 2 year old PSU should be fine, tend to change mine every 4 years. :)

Go for it with no worries, X-Pro make (or at least they used to since I haven't heard of many people buying them now) very good PSUs and it will be easily capable, I've only ever heard of one person having a problem with one which is a very good reliability record although they obviously aren't a major manufacturer. My X-Pro 400w is still chugging away with an A64 3400, 6800gt and 3 hard drives which is a configuration basically unchanged for over 2 years now. :)

ive got a dual core CPU and SLI 7600's running on the xpro 460 watt PSU, its rock stable. should cope with the x1950pro fine
