X1950Pro

mine overlcoked a bit i used *** overdive thing in ccc. i had it overclocked more but woud cause crashes in some games backed it off a bit to whats in me sigpn and is fine. the x1950;s are not the best for overclocking in general thnough
 
From what I've read they don't normally overclock at all, luck of the draw I suppose, I'd be inclined to leave it at stock TBH, may save on headaches later.
 
The newer drivers with CCC allow the 1950pros to be overclocked a bit.

Only the GPU can be touched on my card, running at 610 instead of 580 but cant move the RAM speed at all as it causes the machine to lock up completely.

Used ATi Tool to overclock
 
Have to use driver level clocking with Ati tray tools if you use that. Could you say which version CCC drivers you used that allowed the overdrive function, I tried the newest version but no overdrive appears
 
I have a Saphire here, overclocking with CCC @ 614/790 with 7.6 drivers. Would probably go higher but I'm quite happy with that atm.

Sorry for the hijack, but I'm on the verge of buying this card... How is it for fan noise? I think I read somewhere that the X1950s were quite loud??
 
I doubt they are going to be louder then the fans in your case. Besides this card is amazing value for money and therefore shouldn't let that put you off buying it.

Dam ati is hard work, both 7.6 and 7.7 refuse to accept I have any ATi gfx but they worked fine with 1950 for you guys :/
7.8 works but overdrive is missing

Thankfully omega will save the day but that doesnt include overdrive which I wanted to try, oh well
