X1950XT 256mb turbo

turbo doesn't have to relate to cars you know, it could be anything that makes something generate more power.
Not really, it's just been adapted that way by marketers. The word refers to turbomachinery, anything machine or assembly with a turbine.

/mostly off topic

Do you just like trolling threads posting worthless crap? :o

HIS call this a TURBO because its overclock at the factory and guaranteed to run at those overclocked speeds.
Also this card does not feature a stock cooler, so why on earth have you posted that when it has nothing to do what so ever with this card?

The cooler on this card is an ICEQ3 which not only has superior cooling over ATI stock coolers but is a damn sight quieter, in fact they are nearly silent.

HIS do this in 256MB as if they did a 512MB version then there would be no point for an X1950 XTX card. Also 512MB considerably bumps up the price and 512MB of memory only benefits performance past 1600x1200 resolution and then its not drastic.

Overall these are truly fantastic cards! :D

gibbo i noticed you work at ocuk, just got a question for you.

this system:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-033-OK

is the one i may be ordereing, does this case have enough space it in to fit a bigger card in? maybe not a GTX buy maybe a GTS, plus it it well cooled? and could it fit another hardrive?

Hi there

Will take a GTS no problem and can't see any issues with a GTX either. :)

Cracking cards, they are just XTX's with half the Ram, and GDDR3 memory instead of GDDR4 which runs at 1.8ghz, instead of 2ghz, very slight overclock on the memory and you have an XTX on your hands for a lot less cash. :)

worthless crap is when you make threads quoting +vat prices on products then not even provide an option to proivide company details to order goods without the vat added.

your status may be "Don" but for posting stuff like the above (and having a go at me) i still see you as a fool

This a sweet card.. as for a 512mb version.. i'm sure one will come along if the manufacturer see's they can make money from it.

Right so when all of OcUK's competitors or the majority list prices excluding VAT you really think we should do otherwise.

Also in my recent post I have added +VAT after the price so if your too much of a fool to get a calculator out thats your problem. Its not hard to work out hence why we all went to school. Or even by just clicking on the thread and within 30s of reading it you will see including VAT in brackets to make things far easier for you to cope with, its not rocket science. ;)

When the majority of all other online Etailors prioritise including VAT prices then so will OcUK but for now we do as the majority of others do.

Also you post far more crap in the graphics forum than anybody else. Yes you do make some good post which are indeed good reading but you seem to have an obsession of posting worthless crap in other peoples threads that have nothing to do with what the poster was enquiring about.

Just for you

P.S. Plus as you're a mature man and obviously been around these forums for a while you seem to deliberately try to push the boundaries of the OcUK rules and have such you have been suspended many times on previous occaisons by other Don's.

i don;t push the boundaries of the rules, i just preach the truth, and the truth does seem to hurt as the suspensions have racked up.

also if all your competitors do something in one way, why do you have to follow?
is ocuk a trend setter? or just another member of the flock.

we are going into a new year now, would like to see ocuk innovate and not just immitate.
