X1950XT DVI problem - help please

Hi
I have just built a system with 2 HIS X1950XT cards running in CF mode. Using the DVI cable I have no problems in WINXP but as soon as i fire up a game there is a continuous shaking from left to right on the screen. When you quit the game and revert to WinXP the shaking is gone. Now, by changing to the analog cable and firing up games - no shaking at all. So I tried it with CF disabled - all the DVI cable symptoms are still there. So I'm guessing its something to do with the way the DVI signal is being sent to the monitor? I originally thought it was a monitor problem (LG1710B) so i got it swapped out but the problem remains. Any display gurus who could give a newbie some advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Andy

Thanks for the reply - I have tried a number of different drivers and the results are the same - so i guess it must be something else. Any other ideas - i'm lost and frustrated because the DVI input is so much clearer in WINXP...

I suppose my big question is, why, if it was a recent rig, did you opt for x1950xt crossfire over over an 8 series?

1 gpu = much easier to manage than 2
