X1950XT owners

Hi,

As I will be in the states I should be shopping hardware. With the prices there it would a crime not to.

The 512mb X1950XT can be had for peanuts. Anyone in here with the 512 or 256 version care to give their opinion on the card. I know from reviews they aren't that much faster than the X1900XT, but I would still like to hear your views.

Well I can't comment on the old x1900xt as I never had one but my new x1950xt is a blinder of a card and I for sure would spend the extra cash on one.(well i did!!) It plays Fear @ full whack with no lack in fps, actually all games it just eats them up. I did do a monster of an upgrade tho. My old card was an Fx5950ultra so I was bound to see a massive improvement.

The new cat drivers for these cards are a major boost in performance......Not! Don't want to start that crazy rumour again!

Get one or maybe 2 and sit back while your rig goes into melt down!

I used to have a Sapphire X1900 XT Until it died,


As a warranty replacement i was offered the X1950 XTX if i paid an extra £45



The X1950 XTX Feels better / Quicker than my X1900 XT Did, Everyone says its no different to an X1900 XT,


However, its overpriced tbh.

Pick up a new gen card instead, DX9 cards are not worth buying now as the new gens in 6 days time.
