X1950XT-X - Stock Cooler Noise?

How noisy is the stock cooler on one of these at full load?

Is it the same as say the X18/1900XT dual slot coolers?

Would it not matter which make you go for? as my current HIS is way quieter than my previous Sapphire!

It's the one that looks like the normal X1800/X1900 cooler/Arctic cooler sort of thing, nothing fancy.

The card in question is actually an X1950XT-X GDDR4, running at stock, not a Pro.

Meh, I don't know what I'm speaking about . though I still contend that the cooler will be noisy on load.

Well that answers the question to whether the Pro version is noisy and it appears that it is.

The Pro uses a totally different cooler though.

This cooler is more like an "old school" Arctic cooler, and when it hits around 75-80C core temp, it turns into a dyson on steroids.

I'm confused - I thought the HIS cooler was supposed to be quieter?

to be honest though, the difference of 10 decibels is like a mouse farting!

The 1950XTX cooler is supposed to be quieter and do a better job of cooling the GPU.
