I want to buy the HIs x1950XT-X which is only £200+ vat now but is the rest of my system up to the job.
I have a P4 3.2 ghz 64 bit (I only use it in 32 bit though)
1gig of corsair xms2 5400
abit fatality motherboard
320 gig harddrive if that counts
and 20 inch widescreen @ 1680x1050.
My old card is a X800XL which is still doing a good job, but will I see a big improvement with the new card.
Thanks

in my opinion that card would be false economy for you it is still regarded as overpriced for what it is. also your rig may not take full benefit of the card.

may i suggest a x1950xt wich is only just slightly slower but can be had for 30-60 less depending on model or even a x1950pro lovely card :)

Agreed or spend the little bit extra to get an 8800 GTS from BFG. :)

Yeah id get the x1950 XT at less than £200, x1950 XTX is terribly over priced, you can get the new gen Dx10 8800 GTS for only £40 more. :)

If your spending that much, then the only card worth buying is the 8800 GTS for £40 more, if you can't stretch to that, then the x1950 XT 256mb for less than £200 is the way to go as as said its only slightly slower, same core speeds, memory is only 1800mhz, compared to the x1950 XTX's 2000mhz, but the x1950 XT will easily make that up with a minute overclock, so in effect you will have the same card, but with half the memory, and at a much cheaper price.
