x1950xtx fan keeps stopping, Help please

Hi i have a x1950xtx with a Artic cooling Accelero fitted and after i reformated last night its started acting up.
The fan is cutting out as soon as i start playing a game so i reboot and it starts again it was up to 109c when it crashed to desktop.
Can anyone help please?

Try replacing it with the stock cooler and if you have overclocked it remember to put it back to factory clock as the stock cooler may not be up to the job of cooling it.

Shame i was hoping to avoid that as its lying in bits in a drawer somewhere
Do you think it could be software related as its only started since i reformated last night and reinstaled Catalyst CCC etc?

How is the Accelero powered? If it can be powered by molex, then could you be in charge of the speed of the fan rather than software?

Thanks for replys put stock one back on and it fine, Its now on an auction site gonna get a 8800gtx.
