X2 250 - Bottleneck?

My plan as of now is to get a cheap board and a cheap processor along with a 6850. When Bulldozer comes out I'll get more performance-oriented stuff and put another 6850 in there. My question, then, is would an X2 250 significantly bottleneck a 6850? I'm only playing Source games at the moment really, and I probably won't play much else until November when Skyrim and Battlefield 3 are released.

I'd personally spring the extra £15 for the X3 450, and OC the nuts off it.

Yeah, would recommend the X3 over the dual core. Recently built a cheapish gaming rig, Athlon II X3 445, couldn't unlock it to a quad but overclocked to 3.5GHz with stock cooler and bought the Sapphire 5850 Extreme. Great value for money and maxes out BFBC2 @1920x1080.

That does actually sound quite good. I can give the X3 to my girlfriend when I get my AM3+ stuff later then. :) Do you guys know the success rates of unlocking that last core? Wouldn't mind having a 640 for that price!

EDIT: Actually, for another £10 I could have a 555. But then I'm £25 over my original plan. Heh.
