X2 3800 Bios Query

Having purchased and installed the bagain of the month......X2 3800 my bios does not show the CPU nor does the System Information yet, CPU-Z does.

The mobo the CPU sits in is a DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra-D. Do I need a bios update or is there another way?

I see no date! I bought the mobo when the AMD 3500+ Venice core first hit the shops if thats gives you a clue....2/3 years ago?

if your system is stable then i don't see a reason too, but flashing is easy and safe if you know what your doing.

I use winflash to flash the bios in windows without problems.

Decided to go ahead and flash the bios and although I failed to see any mention of the CPU in the bios at least it is displayed in Device Manager now.
