I cant remeber if my x2 3800+ cpu has 1mb of L2 cache. I'm sure it has, on the side of the box it says with 640kb + 640kb cache, operates at 2000mhz.

codes:

ADA3800DAA5CD
CCBWE 0546UPMW
1375449K50272

Is this a good X2 3800+ ?? I'm trying to flog it on the mm, is £150 asking to much? Its a boxed retail jobby.

EDIT:

I just sussed - L1/128KB; L2/512KB.... = 640 duuuh. :p so the 512 is 1mb cache? x2?

It's easier to say 512, as people will know that you mean per core. Saying that though, you don't even need to put it if you're selling it on the MM - people here know what they're about to buy.

I think most X2 3800s clock pretty well regardless of stepping - it largely depends on whether you have a toledo or a manchester core, as to how far it will clock (manchester > toledo). See here if you're bothered :)

Don't I know it :D (check position 6 on A.N.Other's link - that's on air  ).

I loved the last one so much, I ordered a new one - should be arriving in about 13 hours time :D
