X2 4200 problems

Have just put the x2 chip into my mobo couple of days ago, installed the amd dual core optimizer, worked fine until the next day, booted up got into windows only for it to give a BSOD, so i restarted, same think happened, so i nipped into safe mode and stoped the optimizer from loading now i dont get any BSOD. All my drivers are up to date, including my bios, anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Did you install the amd dual core driver before the optimizer? IIRC you need the amd driver installed before you can use the optimiser. I have both installed and alls well

No i didnt was a bit reluctant when i got a bsod from the optimizer to use the other driver, but ill try that when i log of and c if it works.

Just tried them both, the driver seems fine but the optimizer is still crashing my machine, got this message

Yeah I had the same issues with my X2 4800...

From cold boot when you logged into winxp it would BSOD...

After a warm reboot it wouldnt BSOD.

Uninstalling the software and it boots fine again.

Think I will run mine without until there is a definite fix for this issue
