Hello all.

Fitted this CPU last Friday and it is running like a dream. Have noticed that under sustained gaming the temp hits the mid fifties.

Is this reasonable? I'm using a standard Akasa heatsink/fan for cooling. Toying withe the idea of getting something a little better, though.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

My 4400 doesn't go higher than 47 degrees, and that's with it overclocked to 2.7ghz Might want to check fitting/case cooling/cpu fan

I think you've got a much more robust cooling setup with your rig. I've tended to be a bit relaxed due to the fact that I had an old socket 'A' hitting 60 with a smile on its face a couple of years back.

Could you suggest a decent cooler that doesn't require me to remove the mainboard?

use freezer64, easy to fit imo

gamming load=53c
max load 60c

its fine dont worry

I've just happened accross the Freezer 64 Pro. Looks like it fits the bill.
Thanks.
