X2 4400 or Opty 170?

As in the title really, I'm thinking about blowing a few quid on a processor upgrade and really can't deided bettween the two there is nothing in it in terms of money, so which would you guys recomened? Would be looking to flog off my 146 to patially fund the upgrade!

^^Saw that but it never really gets to a conclusion or even close really. It just turned into a spec me thread.

Opty will be better grade but stepping will decide how each overclocks. AT stock thy are identical so its a matter of deciding if the opty will overclock better. If you can get stepping of chips google them and let it help you decide. Nothing in it but £50.
3800 x2's seem to clock well so it might be another option.

X2 4400 imo. The steppings OcUK are throwing out atm are terrible.

^^Thanks for the advice, I was leaning towards th Opty but I'm not sure if that just the last traces of the Opty mania that had me gripped just before Christmas when the mere whiff of stock had me heading for google!

232 mhz, HTT of 280 with a 166 divider. Hopefully with my shiny new mobo I can run it on a 9/10 divider and get much better speeds...
