x2 4400 or x2 4800

jokester what does your x2 get on vapo ls?

My first one which I could only get stable to 2.5GHz on air was stable at 2.9GHz on LS, so I guess this one would do well over 3GHz stable, 3.2-3.3GHz maybe benchable but I've never tried it.

4400 x 2 straight to 4800 x 2 on stock cooler easy within a day or so of building the system. I expect to go further when I install the kit in the new case and water cooling kit I have just purchased.

When I was specing up for my upgrade I couldn't see any reason for paying the extra £140 or so for the 4800 x2 especially when keeping an eye on this forum and the peeps that had already got a 44 reporting easy 48 speed. Made sense to put the money saved toward some decent wet stuff components.

Regardless of speed though you will not regret going dual core :)

my 4800 overclocks happily to 2.75 and on air it is happy with 1.4725 volts - been running these settings for months - stable as can be.

Thats probably difference between 4400 / 4800 as my 4400 needs be on water & 1.5v to hit 2.75, what are people getting from 4800's on water ?, no point in going fx60 hey hey ;)
