x2900xt strange problem i suspect possibly a faulty card but always worth another idea before i launch into sending it back

Complete new build tonight (i know the mobo/proc/ram works) and ive tested this card in my new and old mobo same problems the mobo just beeps to say a gfx error card just spins upto top speed and stays there pc wont boot

Soo any idea's before i send it back ?
 
Seated properly in the slot? Both power connectors plugged in?

What's the rest of your spec?

seated properly one assumes as my old x1900 works in both motherboards and the x2900 doesnt work in either

and yes i triple checked the 2 power connectors
 
oops cant believe i missed that out Oo

got a 580w in the other machine
