ok lookin at peoples specs and such, ive seen that more and more people are recommending an Opty 165, mainly because of their oc'ing, as for me i never oc'd before and not sure quite how to but anyways, i was temped to buy the 4400+ but seeing other people can oc their 165's to high ghz and 4400+ not much,
i does have a ASUS Premium, how much can i gain in oc'ing if i did get a 165?

No one can tell you unfortunately as every cpu is different.

Once you buy a chip, the numbers on the top will indicate a likely scenario - for those who know about these things - but its luck of the draw

I believe your mobo is a pretty decent clocker tho, so yur half way there.

the opty's at the moment are also good at requiring less voltage, which is another benefit as they stay cooler longer - not many have got the 165's from OCUK ( as they have only just come in) but the 170s seem to be from a very decent batch for clocking purposes ( mine was and a few others had same week of fabrication numbers)

I dont think you can really go wrong with either choice to be honest, you get a decent chip at a great price either way
