Hi just watched this vid about x3TC is the game really like that later on with those types of big battles? I have the game but haven't ever got very far each time I start to play it, but looking at that I will give another go as it looks epic.

Yes, it can get like that at times. The vid ends with what looks like your standard xenon core sector raid, a great place to pick up weapons.

i like the game but it takes too long to get to that stage.

ive got 3 capital ships, 2 fully loaded and 1 being done up.

i should really start hijacking them, just my men suck at pirating

Yeah its great for massive battles, takes a long time to get the rep and cash to buy and fit them. However its great when your first carrier full of fighters is rolled out into a fight.

I agree its easier to get money in X3TC than say X2

i remember in x2 it took me an age to save up for my first cargo ship, then buying a SPP. saving for the tradesoftware mk3 getting Universal traders.

large number of man hours to get a good cashflow. not to mention leaving the SETA drive on over night xD

this is why ive always put my X3TC saves in my 'format' folder. id be guttered if i lots all that time.

i do have a m7m but as i said my guys are rubbish at hijacking the M1/M2 class ships + i dont really like ****ing off the main factions as i have supertrading factory loops thru out.

It can be. If you choose it to be :)

I LOVE the x-series. I've not played TC (though I did buy it). I'd love to play it, but whenever I play these games I just sink hundreds of hours into them and sacrifice everything else in my life (crack-addict style). When I have more time...

I find m6's and other m7m's to be the easiest targets and provide a good source of income and missiles, finding a pirate border sector or a sector invasion mission to give you some prey. Try yaki space for TL's to capture as well.

Boarding cap ships is a pain in the backside, even with awesome marines you may need to send several boarding pods and the whole sortie could take half an hour, bit more hassle then its worth.
