Anyone played x3, what were your thoughts as i really like the look of the game, good shiny graphics and the music ive been told is really atmospheric.

Theres also a thousand reviews with more detail than anyone else on here will give you.

X3 is an amazing game, it has an extremly steep learning curve if you havnt played any of the previous games. Well worth it though if you have the patience to play and learn the game :p I highly reccomend it also as a bonus it looks amazing!

Great game picked a copy up for £7.50 not started playing as of yet but played x2 so looking foward to it,the music is great and looks awsome maxed.

Go for it m8 you will love it.

Come to think of it it's the ultimate version of ELITE.

cheers jay.

X3 is a solo version of EVE online imo

Not sure how you can say that. Its a totally different type of play. Eve is a point and click game, where as X3 you actually fly the ships.

Eve isn't anywhere near X3.

To the op, X3 is a great game with loads of things to do (and many many great mods for it), it does however have a learning curve like a brick wall.

i bought this earlier last year and gave up as i just cant stand the controls for movement. steep learning curve indeed, steep like a cliff face TBH. :p

must say though, the game does look great.

just installed it and started playing, learning curve is steep but i really like the later parts that ive read about being able to make your own battleships and have a station with the new update, awesome :D

You can have a fleet of battleships/carriers/fighters/traders/stations... ;)

Yep, X3 is the best space sim/game out there imo. Espescially since it was patched up quite a bit. The devs have added some good content to it since release also, so its very well supported and the mod community is quite large too. Steep learning curve initially, but very gratifying once you get over that curve....enjoy :)
