X34P Artifacts?

Got my brand new monitor which is very cool....but....in certain situations Im getting these weird horizontal lines, like artifacts a few millimetres long jumping from side to side. Ive set everything to the lowest settings gsync on or off but nothing stops it. In game play if its there I don't notice it but in the menus you cant miss it ...BF1 is the worst...the uniforms on team member on the select screen are covered in the stuff...its not there when I try another monitor albeit at a lower resolution.

Is it overclocked to 120hz? the monitor might not be able to handle it. id just get a replacement

A couple of days ago, I looked away from my screen for a moment only to look back and see this.

It went away with a restart so I'm thinking graphics drivers are the most likely culprit. But I've never seen anything like this before I got this new monitor so I don't know if there's some way it could be connected to that.
 
Had this with mine, logic board replaced under warranty, came back with the same fault, refunded and got an aw34.

Plus it black screened (flicker black then back) with any panel OC....
