X34P Problems With AMD Card

I recently bought an Asus x34P, I intend to later get an Nvidia card to take advantage of GSync, but for the meantime I'm using an RX480 4GB card. It seems to work just fine on the desktop at 100Hz and 120Hz, but when I start PUBG the screen constantly blanks out and re-establishes the picture (showing the display port icon in the top right), as if the monitor itself is resetting.

Settings are currently:
Resolution 3440 x 1440
Refresh Rate: 100Hz
Bit Depth: 8-bit

AMD drivers are the latest available 18.6.1

It seems to do this on all modes at that resolution, I've tried 120Hz, 100Hz, 85Hz and 60Hz and all are the same.

I just tested with Elite Dangerous and get the same result for all refresh rates, so at least it isn't the game at fault!

It's a known compatibility issue with AMD cards and the Gsync module from what I remember (basically hates them, shocker). You def need a nVidia card asap man.

Maybe try lower refresh rates in case you can get it working in the meantime?

Weirdly the problem is far reduced when playing Batman Arkham Asylum, but still happens from time to time.

No, nVidia recently allowed AMD cards to use Gsync free of charge.....
