So just got myself a X360 controller as I'm really into racing sim atm, however I couldn't get the virbration to work at all in every game I tried! There's a special XBCD driver which claims to enable rumble support but I couldn't get that driver to work - everytime I plug it in WinXP automatically installs the official x360 controller driver for windows.

I'm sure there are many others using the same controller on PC so am just wondering if it's possible at all to get vibration working? I really prefer the feel of this gamepad but just can't get the vibration working! I mean even my old PS2 controller with cheapo £4 PC adapter supports vibration!

iv got no idea bout pads on pc's but iv just had a look for you and found this:

No idea if it will help or what it does for that matter but it looked interesting.

Let me know how the pad goes tho on pc, im thinking about getting one for odd games alltho for sims i have a G25 steering wheel, but on some arcade games id like a pad for them as the arcade games arent realistic and arent made for wheels :)

Thanks will try the driver from your link, this was the driver I was looking at.

*EDIT* OK this driver installed but still not getting any vibration in the above 2 games I've tried, maybe it only works in Vista, will try other games.

I've only ever used it with racing games but with the official X360 driver all pc games with "Games for Windows" written on it will have natural support for X360. I tried it in Crysis and and the pad worked straight away with rumble support without ever having to set it up. However with the XBCD driver I couldn't get it to work other than in racing games.

Played crysis with X360 pad for a little and whilst the control wasn't bad it's no match for kb + mouse, for me anyway, but if you're used to playing FPS on X360 than this pad is perfect for you to play on PC exclusive titles.

I think it's great, it's the next best thing in racing games if you don't have money or space for a wheel.
