For the past few days my X360 controller (wireless) has started rotating the lights on it every so often - even th it is connected/synced with the 360 console.

Anyone know why the controller has started doing this (it does it about every 1 min for about 10 secs)

Mine does this whenever the battery is getting low, not long after it runs out and i just switch to another battery pack and it stops.

ahh right - i thougth it was loosing sync with the 360.

Im sure the last time they started running low the dashboard came up with a message saying that- but this time it hasnt.

Mines like it a few hours before it dies. They're only poundland batteries but they last me a few days :D

There are no messages, just a (inaccurate) battery indicator on the Xbox Guide screen.
