x360 motogp problem

ok i am a new owner from x360 premium owner from today

dvd and cd working brilliantly

went to play moto gp and get message come up saying

"to play this disc put it in an xbox 360 console"

the machine is brand new and not connected to the net (yet)

any advice appreciated

sorted out by connecting up to my network cable

must have downloaded an update

....would have expected this game and console to work out of the box

though i notice a few posts on the web with people having probs with this game

anyway playing it now and great game

..well the ruddy game is still playing up went to play today with same error

once again i connect up ethernet cable fiddle about and get going....this is very poor for a console game bearing in mind new 360 and game out the box.

went to take it back to hmv and only remaining game in the bundle i want is graw....out of stock and not avaialble for up to 3 weeks!!....so i'm still stuck with mototgp for a bit.

hope they eventually sort it out with a patch

UPDATE

just to update i kept geting the "you need an xbox360 to play this game" error with my replacement games - graw and fight night, during a heavy gaming session games became unplayable.

tested the same discs in my friends console and he was not getting any error.

got on to hmv and insisted on them replacing the console as it was only 2 weeks old (they initially wanted me to deal with MS, but i stood by my rights) anyway the new console has no problems whatsoever.....

one difference i note is that my previous console had the hitachi drive whereas the replacement has the new samsung.
