Hi all,

I have a 19" Hanns G hw 191dp (widescreen) which i currently use with my PC, it has a dvi and vga in the back (currently use dvi to connect to pc) and have a few questions.

1. I was wondering if i could hook this up with the x360 which i hope to get soon?

2. How good is the quality, and does it fill the whole screen?

3. If It is possbiel, can i easily switch between pc and x360?

4. Anyone have any pictures with x360 on this monitor or something similar?

5. I have 2.1 speaker atm which i connect to my xbox (1) through composite red and white wires. So unsure how i can have sound, if i connect x360 to lcd monitor.

Thanks,

Digi

Ive looked into this for when I get a ps3. I found a HDMI to DVI converter which in theory should work. I have no idea what the quality would look like, probably be a letter box view but tbh I dont know.

I'm not sure if it would work, I'd have thought it would, but not 100%. If you use a HDMI => DVI-D convertor, and set the PS3 to 720p, I'd have thought it would just send a 1280x720 signal to the monitor, and for the 1080p signal, 1920x1080. As there doesn't appear to be any proper monitor cables for the PS3, I would guess you'll only be able to select 480p, 720p and 1080p, so you wont get a choice os resolutions to suit your monitor.

I don't know if it would be as simple as this, but I would hope it is, but I have a feeling it might not be. Goatboy might be able to confirm it.

HDMI is basically DVI + sound, it's backwards compatible, it should work fine and the pic quality will be identical to the source.

hi, just a bit confused, how can the quality be HD when the monitor isnt HD?

Oh but it is. Monitors have been HD for donkey's years they're just not marketed with it. If you can do 1280x720 you're HD really.

thanks for clearing that up!!

Wondering if my current wireless router is up to scratch now, its a cheap trendnet 11mbps cable router. Will this work, or a special kind of router need for xbl on 360?

cheers
