ive just got a play and charge kit for the 360.

Is it possible to charge the controller battery from using the USB ports on a PC.

As i was thinking when i use the PC, i could just plug the charge cable into the monitors USB port and charge in then so its always charged for when i use the 360.

pfft you nancy, clearly the way to find out for a bloke is to plug it in and see what happens. If it explodes, it was a BAD decision

stupid vista though is looking for a driver

edit: oooh it found one, clever vista :p

Just to point out for any new users, the Play & Charge cable does not carry data, only power. So you can't use the pad to control anything on the PC, just charge through it.

Vista will find a driver, but there isn't much use for it. However, if you do want to use your wireless 360 controller with your PC, you can buy an adapter for £10 to £15.

But you can charge the controller up with any USB port. Rather handy. But Shicky, you are right!
