X360 problem?

Yesterday after I got back from work and grabbed the update I noticed a lot of odd flickering in games

It's really noticeable in PGR3 and somewhat obvious in Full Auto & NBA 2K6 - a fault of the update or my 360 starting to die?

The flickering appears in big horizontal stripes across the screen. Using a Sammy 32" R41 model screen with the xbox connected through VGA

Any ideas? Could really do without this as it's affecting my enjoyment of nearly beating my mate on NBA 2K6 :>

Does it still do it in Component mode?

Finally got off my fat one tonight and did some testing

2 VGA cables & 1 component cable:

Flickering is clearly visible on both VGA cables but disappears when I use the component connection. However my DVD player is already connected via Component and I'd like to keep it that way :/

I know the x360 can be used as a DVD player but it's far too noisy

Wish MS would hurry up with a fix :/

I shall of course confirm it's not the TV by hooking up a PC to it later as well

Nothing to change when it's plugged in via VGA or Component worth mentioning.

I had to use composite to change it to PAL 60 to make NBA2K6 run that might be the only thing I can think of
