Just a quick question about sound output from my 360.
I currently have my PS3 hooked up to a pretty old Creative Inspire Digital 5500 5.1 system so i can game in surround sound. My 360 currently only outputs sound through HDMI to my TV but i know if i buy the VGA or Component cable i could output 5.1 surround over optical.
However the reciever only has one optical input and it is not practical to swap cables over due to where it is placed.
Is there any way i can still get 5.1 from the 360 to the reciever without using the optical input? It has an analogue line in and a coaxial input on the back and i was thinking about maybe using an optical to coaxial converter?
Would the above work or is there a simpler answer to my problem?
