X360 WiFi adapter probs...

I have just sold an official MS adapter on ebay, and the buyer is telling me 'it's not working'.

It was working fine for me, so I pointed him towards the trouble shooter on xbox.com, and he still says he can't get it to work. He just has a steady red light and all the wireless setup options on the 360 are greyed out, just as if the adapter isn't plugged in.

He says he has gone through everything on the trouble shooting guide, all to no avail.

Has anyone come across this before?

Yep, that's what's happening.

My mate gets that everytime he has the Network Adapter between Wi-Fi routers. He has to remove it and plug it back in. Sometimes he has to do it a few times. Has he tried it in the 2 front USB ports as opposed to the one on the back?

I'm not sure, I'll suggest trying it.
