Evening all,
Waiting for my X370-f / 2700x to go through RMA due to a couple of issues but in the meantime I decided to add a couple more fans to the system to help with cooling.
Now the X370-f has a few fan headers, an aio pump header and a w_pump header as seen in the attached image. However before I create any issues for myself I just want to check my understanding with you more experienced folk!
First i know that i will have to go into bios to change the setting for the aio / w_pump+ headers to be controllable as they are set to 100% at default which looks pretty easy, my plan for connecting them up is as follows:-
CPU_Fan: Wraith Prisim [Shared control: A]
CPU_Opt: ML120 (4pin PWM) exhaust top rear [Shared control: A]
CHA_Fan1: ML120 (4pin PWM) exhaust rear
CHA_Fan2: ML120 (4pin PWM) intake front top
CHA_Fan3: ML120 (4pin PWM) intake front middle
AIO_Pump: Stock Corsair case fan (3pin DC?) exhaust top front [Shared control: B]
W_Pump+: Stock Corsair case fan (3pin DC?)
intake front bottom [Shared control: B]
So does that sound like it should work ok? Will I be able to control the 3pin fans as I predict or will these run at 100%, at a single set speed or be adjustable by the mobo as per the PWM fans? Sorry for the somewhat basic questions, I think I've got it right just want to be sure!
Many thanks!
